About Me

Who am I?

Hello, I'm Nicole. I'm a qualified Integrative Humanistic Counsellor working in the centre of Oxford and online. Offering empathy and compassion, and a place to see you is at the core of me (both as a counsellor and as a person). I will meet you with curiosity and create a comfortable and welcoming place for you to feel understood. It's my privilege to sit alongside you and I'm always humbled by anything shared with me.

As well as being a counsellor, I have 6+ years experience working for a mental health charity, where I have offered a range of 1-1 and group support to a variety of people with differing needs. â€‹â€‹â€‹â€‹â€‹â€‹â€‹â€‹â€‹â€‹â€‹â€‹

Outside of my role as a counsellor / charity worker, I adore reading (especially by water!), I'm an avid film watcher, more occasional gamer, and spend a good chunk of my time with my dog.

How I work?

I am trained in Person-Centred Theory, Gestalt and Transactional Analysis (TA).

Person-Centred Theory

You are the guide of our sessions - with space to explore your feelings, thoughts and what's going on for you at your pace.

I'm here to sit with you in this, meeting you with curiosity, and with no pressure.

Transactional Analysis

We can explore relationships past and present, noticing patterns and dynamics, and how we are in different relationships across our lives.

Gestalt
Theory

We can look at the impact of our past on the present - noticing how the past is affecting you in the here and now via thoughts and body sensations.

I may also bring in other psycho-education and theories if it feels appropriate to our work together. â€‹
